Musician, Producer, Songwriter and CEO/Owner of PhatChordz Productions LLC, Gabriel Hatcher II- was born in Denver Colorado. Gabriel’s love for music started out as a child. At an early age, he became a Percussionist (Drummer) where he played at church. It was during the passing of his late cousin, John Askew that he found interest in playing piano which was also at a young age. It was Gabriel Hatcher Sr., his father, that prayed a prayer of “faith and blessings” at a Sunday evening service that opened the door for God to do marvelous things in this young man’s life! Things unimaginable through his gifts. It is also through his Mother, First Lady Karen Hatcher that he accredits many things to. Through her powerful ministry of preaching and singing, he’s gained a strong foundation of discipline, structure, and how to have undeniable faith.
In time, he has been focused on mastering his craft, strengthening his passion for God, music and reaching different audiences using the gift God blesses him with. Through the years Gabriel has developed what he believes is his own sound and identity as a musician and a producer. He’s been blessed to travel throughout the United States as well as internationally sharing his gift to the masses.

Gabriel is now a Grammy nominated, 6 Stellar Award nominated, and Dove Award winner for co-writing and producing the hit song “Better”, sung by National Recording Artist Hezekiah Walker.

Gabriel has also accompanied many Gospel Artist such as: Tyscot Artist Jason Clayborn. Vashawn Mitchell, JJ Hairston, Zacardi Cortez, Geoffrey Golden, Joshua Rogers, Alexis Speight, Lamar Campbell, just to name a few.

Gabriel now resides in Louisville KY. He is the proud father of 4 amazing young men and to them he credits his daily zeal to keep moving forward!
It is exciting to think what is next for Gabriel as he continues this musical journey doing what he loves to do. Expect more nominations, more wins and most importantly greater music coming in the near future.
